How to use
The fallback provides eight item slots, separate from resource storage. Compare it with an equipped Small Backpack rather than treating their slot counts as interchangeable.
Where to find
Available by default when no backpack is equipped.

Equipped Loadout
Backpack storage is separate from your equipped Loadout, which has two weapon slots, a melee slot and dedicated equipment slots.
Inventory layout
The recorded Basic Pack has four columns by two rows: eight item cells. Its resource column and equipped Loadout slots are separate. The Small Backpack increases the observed item grid to 12 cells.
