Choosing Traits
Start with a random Minor Trait, then choose one Trait at each stage. Complete the preceding stage to move upward. Major stages offer two alternatives; later Minor stages offer three. In-game choices are locked once selected.
Points and progression
Each tree contains 22 possible choices: six Major Traits and 16 randomized Minor Traits. Nine selected Traits complete a tree. You can earn 18 points in total and distribute them across all three trees.
Other preview examples
| Trait | Effect |
|---|---|
| Combat Scavenger | Hostiles have a small chance to drop an Ingredient or valuable when killed. |
| Investor | Slightly increases cash amount extracted. |
These earlier preview examples are separately sourced; they are not identified choices in the recorded Oh-Ji layout.
Recovery and Prestige
Rescuing an MIA Operator preserves their Traits. Rescue costs increase with Trait Points. At max level, Operator Prestige requires the specified gear and Bank Cash, resets ordinary Trait progress and grants a permanent Prestige Trait.
Named Traits in the recorded tree
| Trait | Effect |
|---|---|
| Overwatch | UAV towers you activate never expire. |
| Thermal Padding | Hides from UAVs and downgrades Advanced UAVs to UAV detection. |
| Field Crafting | Allows crafting items directly out of Common Printer resources while deployed. |
| UAV Upgrade | Increases the range and duration of UAVs. Also upgrades them to Advanced UAVs. |
| Hostile Looter | Enemy hostiles sometimes drop an Uncommon Printer ingredient, with a very small chance for a Rare Printer ingredient. |
| Container Looter | Chance to get an extra piece of loot in containers. |
| Resource Pockets | Scrapped items grant 20% more Printer resources. |
| Resource Management | Picking up Printer resources that would exceed max capacity also grants a portion of the pickup to your lowest count resource. |
| Operator Tracker | Allows the tracking of enemy Operators via footprints. |
| Cash Ops | Receive 20% more cash from completing Ops. |
This Oh-Ji menu identifies 10 of the 22 positions in Scout. The remaining 12 positions are unrevealed Minor choices. Random rolls may differ between Operators.

Minor names can vary by Operator. The first pick and the remaining Minor positions are randomized; the roll algorithm and any restrictions on its pool have not been established. Choose one Trait per row, up to nine points here and eighteen across all three trees.
Are the trees the same for every Operator?
Launch players report that the large Major choices stay in place, while Minor choices can change positions and sometimes trees. One player found Final Intel in Scout where another player’s completed Scout tree did not contain it. Another reports the faster-plating Minor in Survivalist on one Operator and Warfighter on another. Players also report Minor reshuffling after Prestige.
These are player reports, not a complete test of every Operator or the roll algorithm. Similar choices across several Operators do not establish identical trees. The allowed pool, weighting and any tree-specific restrictions remain unresolved.
