MW4 Campaign and DMZ Early Access

Who gets early access?

Digitally preorder or prepurchase either the Standard Digital Edition or Vault Edition of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. This announcement does not establish early access for physical editions or subscription access without an eligible purchase.

Dates announced

DMZ Early Access began on October 20, 2026, for eligible digital preorders or prepurchases. The full Modern Warfare 4 launch follows on October 23.

Platforms listed

Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, PlayStation 5, Battle.net, Steam and Nintendo Switch 2.

Timing and availability caveats

Campaign and DMZ start on different dates. Actual play time depends on possible outages and time-zone differences; platform availability and start dates may change. The article does not provide a regional start hour, preload procedure or installation steps.

Launch notices — October 20

Some players cannot access Orders or deploy after selling starting equipment or dismissing their equipped Active Duty Operator during the first FOB visit. Infinity Ward’s workaround is to join a friend and deploy into DMZ; progress is restored on entering Hajin. The issue remains under investigation as of October 20, 2026.

An additional server-side fix has been released for Campaign Early Access on Xbox PC, and Infinity Ward is monitoring the result. This notice concerns Campaign access, not a DMZ access fix. Status checked October 20, 2026.

DLSS resolution scaling is unavailable while VRRT Denoiser is enabled because of visual artifacts. Infinity Ward is working with NVIDIA on concurrent support in a future patch. This is a PC-wide restriction, not a DMZ performance measurement. Status checked October 20, 2026.
