Dog Tag Progression

An Operator's Dog Tag shows that individual's progression, Bounty status and enemy Operator kill count. Inspect it in the Loadout. It can become another player's looted trophy.

Lieutenant cases and challenges

The Boss Board separates killing every Hajin Lieutenant once from extracting every Lieutenant’s case twice and five times. These are boss challenges, separate from rival Operator Dog Tags.

Inspecting the tag

Inspect it in the equipped Loadout. Tag quality represents the individual Operator; the player’s overall DMZ Level is a separate system.

The source gives 18 Dog Tag levels in total. Onyx III is fully leveled, with 18 earned Trait Points and access to optional Operator Prestige. This does not establish the XP requirement for each individual sublevel.

Earning Trait Points

Earn DMZ XP through successful exfils to level up your Dog Tag. Each level awards a Trait Point. Reach Onyx III with 18 Trait Points to unlock Operator Prestige.

Death, looting and MIA recovery

Rivals can loot your Dog Tag after you die and extract it for their trophy case. Rescue an MIA Operator to recover their tag and Traits. Rescue costs DMZ Cash from your Bank and increases with Trait Points. Reequip the Operator before deploying again.

Bounty and trophy roles

A tag can carry a bounty, but not every defeated player has one. Bounty collection requires the relevant extraction procedure. Trophy-case entries retain the victim, killer, death date/time and rarity. Favoriting a stored trophy is distinct from securing a carried tag.

Separate from Lieutenant cases

Lieutenant Dog Tag Cases are boss progression objectives that broadcast their carrier. The player’s progression tag and the FOB trophy display are separate concepts, even where their names overlap.
