Operator-specific Trait Points
Earn Trait Points by increasing an individual Operator’s Dog Tag level, then spend them across Warfighter, Scout and Survivalist.
Browse the recorded trees
Access and use
Open the currently equipped Operator’s Traits through the quick left-side blade menu or the Operator menu. Each Active Duty Operator earns and spends their own points.
Dog Tags and earning points
There are 18 Dog Tag levels: Steel, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Damascus and Onyx, each with I, II and III. A Dog Tag level grants one Trait Point, up to 18 at Onyx III. Successful exfils grant XP; a strong deployment can advance more than one Dog Tag level. Operator progression and overall DMZ Player Level are separate.
Tree structure and choices
Each tree has 22 choices: six visible Major Traits and 16 randomized Minor Traits, for 66 across all three trees. Start a tree by spending a point on its initial random Minor Trait. Later Major branches offer two choices and Minor branches three. Unlock one Trait in the previous branch to reach the next, and choose one from that branch. Minor groups are revealed after the preceding Main Trait. Plan toward preferred Main Traits and choose available Minor Traits that complement them. Once selected, a Trait is locked in and cannot be substituted.
How far can one Operator progress?
A complete tree uses nine selected Traits. With 18 total points you can complete two trees, or distribute choices across all three. More Traits increase MIA rescue cost. Fully leveling the Operator opens optional Operator Prestige.
Preview names can differ
The inspected graphic includes a selected Combat Scavenger tooltip. The surrounding article lists named example Major Traits; those text descriptions and the preview UI remain separately sourced rather than assuming every icon or label is identical across builds.
After Operator Prestige
Prestige resets ordinary tree development. Earn 18 Trait Points again to qualify for another Prestige; previously acquired Permanent Prestige Traits follow their own identity-bound retention and three-Trait limit.
Recovery persistence named in confirmation
Purchased Traits, unspent Trait Points and Dog Tag rank are explicitly named; majority Loadout lost. No completed rescue outcome was observed.

Revealing randomized Traits
Acquiring a Trait from the preceding row reveals a randomized Trait. Revealing it and spending a point to acquire it are separate steps.
Revealing hidden Traits
A Randomized Trait is revealed when a Trait from the previous row is acquired. The recorded Oh-Ji screen has no unspent points, so inspecting a tooltip does not acquire it. The crown counter and the separate Prestige column are not extra ordinary Traits.
Revealed and randomized choices
The reviewed Oh-Ji menu identifies 26 ordinary choices across the three trees. Eight are revealed Minor choices; 40 other positions remain unidentified in the recording. These names describe the recorded Operator, not a promise of the same random rolls for every Operator.
The Randomized Trait tooltip says a choice is revealed after a Trait in the previous row is acquired. The planner can remove a choice for planning, while selections in the game stay locked.
