Resources versus 3D Printer Ingredients
The 3D Printer uses pooled Resources and intact Ingredients, with a Recipe determining what can be printed.
Reading requirements
A selected recipe lists the required materials and quantities. Green sufficiency indicators and owned/required counts describe the current inventory, not a different recipe cost.
Crafting more advanced components
Printer upgrades can open Uncommon or Epic component crafting. The guide names Rigid Synthetics and Alloyed Plating. Each component still needs its own supported recipe, rather than inheriting a cost from the general upgrade description.
Component inputs
Unlocked component recipes can use Resources and other 3D Printer Ingredients. A Printer upgrade alone does not remove the Recipe or material requirements.
