Finding La Grande Vie is part of completing Triangulation's transmitter tasks in Modern Warfare 4’s DMZ mode. This guide will help you locate the building and its roof without mixing it with other objectives.
Where is La Grande Vie in MW4 DMZ?
La Grande Vie is found in northern Songdo Wharf. Look for the gold LA GRANDE VIE sign on the white apartment tower, with magenta billboard panels below its rooftop terraces. It is the tallest building in the immediate area. The transmitter goes on the building’s raised roof. Use its elevator to reach the upper floor, then continue to the rooftop area.
How to place a transmitter on top of La Grande Vie
- Enter the building.
- Use the elevator inside to reach an upper floor level.
- Exit and continue onto the raised roof section, where you'll find the Transmitter placement prompt.
Triangulation has separate rooftop and Radio Tower checks:
- Rooftop Check: Look for a tick after placing a transmitter on top of La Grande Vie.
- Tower Checks: Place transmitters on each Radio Tower’s upper platform to complete their respective counters.
Where do other Triangulation transmitters go?
The two Radio Tower placements and the rooftop checkbox are separate. The recorded checklist can show the towers at 2/2 while La Grande Vie is still unfinished. Complete both:
- Climb up a ladder at one of the Radio Towers.
- Use each tower's placement prompt to finish its counter.
What else can you find on this roof?
While exploring, look for Ballistic Fabric and High-Tenacity Fibers. The FOB’s Ingredient Locations menu names the La Grande Vie rooftop as a search area for both materials. Check around its terraces, tents and sandbags while you are up there; the menu does not promise a specific container or a drop on every visit.
Collecting materials does not complete the transmitter objective. Use the placement prompt before leaving the roof.
Watch for Colossus near La Grande Vie
Songdo Wharf has a Low starting AI threat rating, but Colossus can appear in the district. Gameplay from a Triangulation run shows the Commander warning at Songdo Wharf while the La Grande Vie objective is active. The armored minigun Commander is a separate threat, not a boss you must defeat to place the transmitter.
Check the nearby streets before entering the tower. The construction area west of the wharf is the Grid’s Construction Zone; La Grande Vie itself is in northern Songdo Wharf. Neither the location name nor this encounter guarantees a Colossus spawn inside the apartment building.
Other stops in Songdo Wharf
The district also contains Shoreline Station and the bridge toward Songdo Pier and its lighthouse. A Gun Store in northern Songdo Wharf has a weapons cabinet opened with the Gun Store Weapons Locker Key. That cabinet is a separate stop, not part of the La Grande Vie transmitter task.
Final check
Before leaving, check that the La Grande Vie placement has its tick and both Radio Tower placements read 2/2. If you picked up crafting materials on the roof, extract with them to bring them back to the FOB.
